This week Archimedes should be approaching five pounds (consider your typical bag of flour) and may be as many as 20 inches long, crown-to-toe. Sometimes (that is, usually), I feel like he or she is taking up every square inch of space available between Mama's ribs and pelvis.
Here's a pic to help you imagine the sorts of contortionist feats this baby must be pulling in order to fit within the confines of my baby bump. The measuring tape is set at 20 inches exactly. And don't forget, all my bones and muscles and organs still have to fit in there, too. (No wonder I sometimes I think Archie must have the limbs of an octopus!)
